2023: Richardson had interceptions in back-to-back games for the Cardinals at Northern Colorado and Abilene Christian. He totaled 48 tackles, two interceptions, seven pass breakups and one forced fumble on the season. Against Southeastern Louisiana, he notched a season-high 11 tackles. Phil Steele named Richardson to the Southland 2023 All-Conference Third Team. 

2022: Richardson battled injuries throughout the 2022 season, however still participated in 9 games for the Cardinals defense. He was highly effective on the field, finishing the season with 12 tackles, 2.5 TFLS, 1 INT and 2 PDs.

2021: Richardson played in 9 games for UIW this past season. He finished the year with 7 solo tackles, including a season high 3 tackles against Southeastern Louisiana University on November 6. He also recorded a forced fumble against Texas State University and a fumble recovery against Houston Baptist University. 

2020 (Sophomore): (Spring 2021)  Appeared in all six games with 25 tackles (18 unassisted, seven assisted) and two tackles for loss...had a season-high six total tackles twice.

2019 (Freshman): Played in 10 games and started five… one of five Cardinals to amass over 50 tackles, contributing 53 (39 unassisted, 14 assisted)… also had 2.5 tackles for loss for eight yards… snagged one interception and returned it 56 yards against Abilene Christian… also had two forced fumbles at Sam Houston and against Nicholls and a fumble recovery at Sam Houston to contribute to UIW’s nation-leading 33 interceptions… tallied four pass breakups… had a season-high 11 tackles at then-No. 25 HBU.

High School: Played on both sides of the ball in high school… started at quarterback on offense while occupying the defensive backfield on defense… as a QB, threw for 2,418 yards and 24 touchdowns as a senior while rushing for 1,059 and 12 more scores on the ground… on defense, recorded one interception, returning it for a 37-yard gain… also returned kicks when called upon in high school, returning a kickoff for a touchdown during junior season.
