2017: Appeared in all 11 games... had 33 tackles on the season (11 solo, 22 assisted) and led the team in sacks with 4... sack total resulted in a loss of 29 yards, and he had 6.5 tackles for loss for 33 yards leading the team in loss yardage. On top of that he had tied team high five quarterback hurries and one forced fumble... had four total blocked kicks (three punts, one field goal).
 
2016: Competed in eight games. Six of his seven tackles were assisted...tackle for a loss resulted in four yards... also registered one pass breakup, one quarterback hurry, and one blocked kick.

2015 (Freshman):  Montgomery played in nine games as part of the defensive line rotation... recorded a sack in the season opener against Texas A&M-Kingsville... has two tackles and recovered a fumble at Sam Houston State... closed the year with a season high five tackles at Houston Baptist... finished the year with 13 tackles and two fumble recoveries.

2014:  Montgomery red-shirted his first year with the Cardinals.

High School:  Montgomery was on the football and basketball teams at Goose Creek Memorial High School.  He was a two-star recruit and two-time all-district selection while leading GCM to a pair of Area finals.

Personal:  Montgomery is the son of Johnnie and Nichelle Montgomery and is studying kinesiology.  He has a pair of siblings, Darren and Darriona.  He was born on January 31, 1996.
