Honorable Mention All-Conference

2018 (Senior): One of two key receivers for the Cardinals… finished the season with 932 receiving yards  and averaged 84.7 yards per catch… led UIW with 1,389 all-purpose yards, accumulating 384 kick return yards, 70 punt return yards and three rushing yards in addition to his 932 receiving yards… averaged 126.3 all-purpose yards per game… put up a season-high 150 yards at Lamar… had a single season program-record five games with at least 100 receiving yards… in conference-only games, registered 716 receiving yards with three touchdowns and had a long catch of 71 yards… ranked third in receiving yards per conference game with 89.5… led the conference with 1,086 all-purpose yards (716 receiving, 308 KR, 59 PR, three rush) in SLC action.

2017: Did not play. 

2016: Played in 10 games...led the team in catches (39), yards (712), yards per catch average (18.3), and touchdowns (8)... grabbed the longest catch of the season (83), and averaged a team-best 71.2 yards per game... was also a returner, catching seven punt returns for 20 yards... was the team leader with 18 kickoff returns, averaging 391 yards for an average of 21.7 per game... had a season long 40-yard return...had three, 100-yard games: 159 vs. TAMUK, 139 at No. 1 Sam Houston, and 120 at Lamar... 159-yard game against the Javalinas ranks third all-time in program history... finished the season eighth in the SLC with 71.2 yards per game, while only averaging less than four catches per game. For his efforts, he was named Second Team All-SLC for all-purpose players. Entering 2017, Edwards ranks in the following program categories: first with 18.3 yards per catch in a career, first in career 100 games (6), 100 punt return average in a season (7.6 yards), first in touchdowns in a game (3 vs. No. 1 Sam Houston), second in most yards in a season (712), second in all-purpose yards (1,127), second in all-purpose yards in a game (112.5), second in kick return yards in a season (475), and he led the team in scoring (48).

2015 (Sophomore):  Became one of the most dangerous all-purpose players in the conference as a sophomore... earned honorable mention all-Southland Conference honors as a kick returner and all-purpose player... was named to the CFPA Kick Returner of the Year Watch List... was named the Southland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week on November 2 after returning a kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown at Stephen F. Austin... had five returns for 186 yards and finished the game with 261 all-purpose yards... led the team in receptions (38), receiving yards (561) and all-purpose yards (1,127) for the season... tallied three 100-yard receiving games...had five grabs for 115 yards and a touchdown in the win against Northwestern State... had a three-game stretch of 7 catches for 128 yards against Abilene Christian, five grabs for 74 yards at SFA and seven receptions for 143 yards against Lamar.

2014 (Freshman):  Played in nine games and made two starts as a true freshman... was the team's top kick returner with 442 yards on 21 returns... had a season high 123 all-purpose yards at North Dakota State... nearly had a kick return touchdown at Abilene Christian gaining 48 yards before being tripped up by the last defender... tossed a 24-yard touchdown pass and had 102 return yards against Southeastern Louisiana... hauled in a season high four catches for 68 yards against McNeese State.

High School:  Was on the football and track teams at Mesquite Poteet High School... was an AP First Team All-State 4A selection as a senior... was also first team all-district and Vype All-Dallas/Fort Worth Area First Team in 2013... hauled in 57 receptions for 1,229 yards while leading the team to a 12-2 record... was honorable mention all-district as a junior and led the team to a pair of fourth round playoff appearances. 

Personal:  Edwards is the son of Peggy Austin and is studying studio engineering. He has a brother, Kevin, and his uncle is former NFL star Tim Brown.  He was born on March 20, 1996.
