2018 (Junior): Played in 47 games and started 46… registered 51 hits, 29 runs and 32 RBI… had a .407 slugging percentage with nine doubles, two triples and two home runs… walked 21 times and a .385 on-base percentage… was 7-for-8 in stolen base attempts… recorded 14 multi-hit games with seven two-hit games, five three-hit games and two four-hit games… went 4-for-6 with two runs, 4 RBI and a double at PVAMU on April 17.

2017 (Sophomore): He started in 26 of the 29 games he appeared in... had a .271 BA, 26 hits, 12 runs, and 14 RBI's... had a .363 OB%. On the defensive end, he had 50 putouts and 75 assists. 

2016 (Freshman): Gonzalez served as the leadoff hitter and starting second baseman as a freshman... also started 12 games at shortstop due to his great glove work... only made eight errors in 193 chances. In his first collegiate game, he collected two hits, scored a run and drove in three against LIU Brooklyn, and finished the month of February with a .310 batting average. On the season, he played in 44 games and started 43 and hit .204... was third on the team with 18 walks, while also adding 14 RBI and going a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen bases... was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll

High School:  Gonzalez earned four letters in baseball at Mary Carroll High School... earned first team all-district and academic all-district honors as a junior and senior at shortstop... took home Third Team All-State and Academic All-State honors as a senior and led the team in batting average and steals as a senior. Gonzalez is the son of Mario and Melinda and has one brother, Aaron.

Personal:  Gonzalez is the son of Mario and Melinda Gonzalez and is studying Kinesiology.  He has a brother, Aaron.  He was born on April 23, 1997.
