Biography

2015 (Junior):  Hicks earned Southland Conference honorable mention honors as a punt returner.  He brought back the first punt return for a touchdown in school history and had five catches for 52 yards and a score in the season-opening win over Texas A&M-Kingsville.  He was named the Southland Conference Special Teams Player of the Week following his 66-yard punt return touchdown.  He had a reception of at least 29 yards in five games.  He hauled in a 36-yard touchdown pass at Stephen F. Austin.  He had at least 55 yards against Abilene Christian, Stephen F. Austin and Lamar.  He finished the year with 519 all-purpose yards and four total touchdowns.  He was named to the Southland Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2014 (Sophomore):  Hicks struggled with injuries early in the season missing the first two games of the year, but ended up starting three games at wide reciever.  He had six catches for 45 yards at Abilene Christian.  He caught his first career touchdown pass against McNeese State when he went deep over the middle for 52 yards.  He had a 56-yard kick return at Nicholls.  His best game of the year came against Sam Houston State when he had five catches for 59 yards and four kick returns for 83 yards.  He picked up 35 yards on a jet-sweep in the season finale at Lamar.  He finished the year with 435 all-purpose yards.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2013 (Freshman):  Hicks was an all-purpose player for the Cardinals running the ball, catching the ball and returning kicks.  He had multiple receptions in each of the first three games of the year.  He had a season-high 54 all-purpose yards at #6 Central Arkansas.  He made four catches for 28 yards at Southeastern Louisiana.  His 18-yard run at McMurry was a key play on the team's game-winning drive.  He added a 20-yard run against Angelo State.  He finished the year with 17 receptions for 115 yards and five rushes for 47 yards.  He tallied a total of 70 yards in returns.

High School:  Hicks played football at Juan Seguin High School.  He was a first team all-district performer as a junior and named the team's Sophomore of the Year in 2010 and Freshman of the Year in 2009.  He set a school record with 202 yards receiving in a game against Joshua as a sophomore.

Personal:  Hicks is the son of Charemon Peery and Vincent Hicks and is studying psychology.  He has one sibling, Courtney.  He was born on February 23, 1995.
