University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2018 (Senior): Played in nine games… recorded 52 tackles, with 37 solo and 15 assisted tackles... racked up a season-best nine tackles against Lamar.

2017 (Junior): Played in 10 games... was third in tackles on the team with 55, (28 solos, 27 assisted)... had one interception with a return of 13 yards... also had one pass defense and one quarterback hurry on the season. 

2016 (Sophomore): Played in all 11 contests... 39 tackles were the sixth-highest on the team, registering 23 solo and 16 assisted... had one tackle for a loss for two yards and one pass breakup... was named to the SLC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2015 (Freshman):  Special teams star and a backup safety... blocked a school record three kicks, including a pair of punts... was credited with a safety in the season finale at Houston Baptist after blocking a punt and the ball went through the back of the end zone... also broke up a pair of passes against HBU...was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

High School: Was a first team all-Shreveport, all-District 1-5A and All-State safety at Byrd High School... also an academic all-state selection... led Byrd to a state runner-up finish as a senior... earned Louisiana West All-Star accolades.

Personal:  Parents are George and Tia Franklin... studying nursing with a minor in business.... has a sister, Lejah, and a brother, George... born on March 31, 1997.
