2015 (Junior):  Zellars earned Southland Conference Honorable Mention honors as an inside linebacker.  He started all 11 games and finished second on the team with 83 tackles.  He had four games with double-digit stops.  He had 12 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a sack and forced a fumble against Texas A&M-Kingsville.  He made nine tackles at UTEP and came back the following week with 12 tackles and a tackle for loss against Northwestern State.  He had tackles at Stephen F. Austin and forced a fumble at Southeastern Louisiana.  He recorded a career high 15 tackles against Lamar.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.  He is 73 tackles away from setting the school's career record.

2014 (Sophomore):  Zellars was a full-time starter for the Cardinals and racked up 57 tackles in 10 games.  He had six tackles and a sack against Southeastern Louisiana.  He made eight stops, one tackle for loss and forced a fumble against Houston Baptist.  He recorded a season high nine tackles against Sam Houston State.  He had at least five tackles in seven games.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2013 (Freshman):  Zellars played in all 11 games and was starting by the end of the season at outside linebacker.  He opened his career by making seven stops in a loss at #6 Central Arkansas.  He made five tackles at Southeastern Louisiana and the following week he had four tackles and a half sack at Abilene Christian.  He was credited with six stops in a win at McMurry.  He had at least one tackle in every game and finished the year with 37 total tackles.

High School:  Zellars was on the football, basketball and track teams at Baytown Lee High School.  He earned first team all-district honors as a junior and honorable mention honors as a senior.  During his senior year, he was named Lee’s team MVP and offensive MVP. 

Personal:  Zellars is the son of Warren and Gloria Zellars and is studying finance. He has four siblings, Jason, Zack, Showane and Candace. His brother, Zack, played football at Incarnate Word. He was born on February 14, 1995.
