2014 (Junior):  Hoover earned Southland Conference honorable mention honors and was the team's top hitter.  He was the only player on the team to hit above .300 and he led the squad with 16 doubles, two homers and 36 RBI's.  He started the season with a nine game winning streak and later on in the season he had a 17-game hitting streak.  He opened his career with three hits, two RBI's and a double against Oklahoma State.  He had a home run, double, three runs and four RBI's in a win over Gonzaga.  He was 3-for-4 with three RBI's and two runs at Abilene Christian.  He went 4-for-7 with a double in two games at Baylor.  He hit a grand slam against Nicholls.  He had two doubles and drove in three against Prairie View A&M.  He had two RBI's in three consecutive games from April 26-29.  He closed out the year with three RBI's against Abilene Christian.  He was named to the Southland Commissioner's Honor Roll.

Previous:  Hoover played a year of baseball at both Angelina Junior College and University of Houston.  He appeared in nine games, making two starts during the final regular season weekend against Memphis at Houston.  He served primarily in a pinch-hitting role, but saw action at first base in three straight games

High School:  Hoover was on the baseball and basketball teams at Marion High School.  He earned All-State honors as a designated hitter and was the district player of the year as a senior.

Personal:  Hoover is the son of Leo and Sandy Hoover and is studying business administration.  He has one sibling, Jamie.  He was born on January 24, 1993.
