2016: Did not play. He was named to the SLC Commissioner’s Honor Roll with a 4.0 GPA in the Fall 2016 semester.

2015 (Sophomore):  Schwanenberg entered the year as a backup inside linebacker, but an injury derailed his campaign.  He made two tackles in the season opener against Texas A&M-Kingsville.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2014 (Freshman):  Schwanenberg was the team's top backup at inside linebacker.  He recorded a pair of double-digit tackle performances.  He made 10 stops against national champion North Dakota State.  He also had 11 tackles against highly ranked Southeastern Louisiana.  He was also one of the team's top coverage guy on kicks.  He made six tackles on kickoffs and two in punt coverage.  He finished the year with 44 tackles.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.

High School:  Schwanenberg was on the football and baseball teams at Smithson Valley High School.  He was a two-time All-State selection in football and was the Comal County Defensive MVP in 2011 and 2012.  He helped lead the team to three Area finals.  He earned Academic All-State honors.

Personal:  Schwanenberg is the son of Paul and Rebecca Schwanenberg and is studying rehabilitation sciences with a minor in psychology. He is part of the SAAC and FCA clubs at UIW.  He has two sisters, Amanda and Audrey. He was born on June 10, 1994.
