Biography

2015 (Junior):  Reeves played the first six games of the season and earned starts in his final two games before suffering a season-ending injury.  He came off the bench to provide a spark against Nicholls with nine carries for 66 yards, including a key 37-yard scamper.  He had an outstanding game against Northwestern State.  He carried the ball 19 times for 116 yards and a touchdown and added two receptions for 37 yards.  Unfortunately, he carried the ball twice at Sam Houston State before being injured the following week.  He was named to the Southland Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll.  He heads into his senior year third on the all-time rushing list at UIW.

2014 (Sophomore):  Reeves was named to the  College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) Running Back Preseason Watch List.  He never seemed to get on track averaging only 2.7 yards per carry.  He scored a touchdown in the win over Houston Baptist.  He contributed 50 yards on 13 carries in the win at Nicholls.  He finished the season on a high note by racking up 99 yards and two touchdowns on just 12 carries at Lamar.

2013 (Freshman):  Reeves had a phenomenal season for the Cardinals and showed big play and big game ability.  He spent most of the season as the backup running back behind Junior Sessions, but ended up setting school records for rushing touchdowns (11) and yards per carry (6.7).  He had a reception in 10 of 11 games.  He had nine carries for 88 yards and two touchdowns while catching two passes in a win over Texas College.  He had five carries for 67 yards and scored on a 47-yard run at Abilene Christian.  He set school records for most yards rushing in a game (244) and most touchdowns in a game (6) in a 47-43 win at McMurry.  He had touchdown runs of 37, 13, 55, 27, 14 and 17 with the last one coming with 36 seconds remaining to win the game.  He was named the CFPA National Running Back of the Week for his efforts.  He followed that game with a 121-yard, two-touchdown performance in a win over Abilene Christian.  He finished the year with 616 yards rushing on only 92 carries and also added 18 receptions for 80 yards.  He was named College Sports Madness All-Independent Third Team at running back.

High School:  Reeves was on the football and track teams at Mexia High School.  He was a three-time all-district performer earning first team honors as a sophomore and junior.  He rushed for 1,100 yards and 10 touchdowns during his junior season and 775 yards and 16 touchdowns as a sophomore.  He finished third in the State track meet as a senior in the 100 meters running a time of 10.67. 

Personal:  Reeves is the son of Robert Reeves and Trinissa Bluitt and is studying finance. He has four siblings and was born on July 17, 1995.
