University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2013 (Sophomore):  Edwards started 10 games for the Cardinals and missed the other with an injury.  The outside linebacker was a solid contributor all season long.  He had four tackles, including a tackle for loss in a shutout win over Texas College.  The following week he had six tackles and a half sack in a shutout win over Langston.  He had a season-high seven tackles and a half tackle for loss at #5 Sam Houston State.  He recovered a fumble in the season finale against Angelo State.  He finished the year with 35 tackles and 2.0 tackles for loss.

2012 (Freshman):  Edwards played in 10 games and worked his way into the starting lineup by the end of the year.  He had a season high four tackles and picked up his first career sack at Angelo State.  He was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.  He recorded 12 tackles and a sack for the season.

2011 (Red-Shirt):  Edwards red-shirted his first year at Incarnate Word.

High School:  Edwards attended Dobie High School.  He was named the Defensive MVP of District 22-5A as a senior and also earned first team all-district honors.

Personal:  Edwards is the son of Kirk and Dina Edwards and is studying business.  He was born on June 29, 1993.
