2013 (Red-shirt):  Brown was the team's starting first baseman for the first eight games of the season when an injury sidelined him the rest of the way.  He was hitting .310 with seven runs batted in and a .417 on-base percentage at the time.  He had a double and two RBI's against Abilene Christina (2/3).  He had two hits and drove in two in a win over Florida Southern (2/9).

2012 (Junior):  Brown earned Honorable Mention All-Lone Star Conference honors at designated hitter.  He hit .342 and led the team with 24 runs batted in.  He opened his UIW career with a 4-hit performance against Tarleton State.  He went 2-for-5 with two runs, four RBI's, a double and a triple at Cameron and had seven hits in the four-game series.  He put together a pair of two-hit, two-RBI games at Eastern New Mexico.  He posted 13 multi-hit games in the season.

Previous:  Brown hit .385 with 14 doubles and 36 RBI's in only 37 games.  He earned First Team All-America honors and was the conference MVP on a team that won the NJCAA National Championship in 2011.  He originally signed with Abilene Christian and also spent time at North Central Texas. 

High School:  Brown played baseball, basketball and football at Keller High School. 

Personal:  Brown is the son of Shon and Joan Brown and Sharyn and Dan Shogan and is studying business.  He has three siblings; Ryan, Shelby and Bryce.  He was born on February 17, 1990.
