University of the Incarnate Word Athletics

2013 (Freshman):  Scheel moved up the depth chart quickly as a linebacker and special teams guy.  He had four tackles at #6 Central Arkansas to open the season and had at least one tackle in all but one game.  He had three tackles, including two tackles for loss in a win over Langston.  He had a tackle for loss against Eastern New Mexico and at Southeastern Louisiana.  He had 21 tackles and 4.0 tackles for loss on the year and also recovered one fumble.

High School:  Scheel was on the football and golf teams at East Central High School.  He was a two-time first team all-district linebacker and earned second team honors on one occasion.  He led the team in tackles as a senior and led the team to four playoff appearances. 

Personal:  Scheel is the son of Phillip and Charlotte Scheel and is studying meteorology with a minor in mathematics.  He has a brother, Dalton.  He was born on November 17, 1992.
