2012 (Junior):  Haywood started all 11 games at safety and had a hand in three turnovers with two fumble recoveries and an interception.  He registered 12 tackles and a tackle for loss at Sam Houston State.  He accumulated eight tackles against Texas A&M-Commerce and followed with nine tackles the following week at Texas A&M-Kingsville.  His lone interception of the season came against Tarleton State and he also had a pass breakup.  He finished second on the team with 60 tackles and he led the team with 34 unassisted tackles.  He is the school record holder with eight career interceptions.  He was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll. 

2011 (Sophomore):  Haywood had a big season as the team's starting safety earning Second Team All-Lone Star Conference honors.  He had an interception in each of the first seven games of the year and finished seventh in the nation in interceptions per game.  He had five tackles, returned an interception 34 yards and had three kick returns for 84 yards at Lamar.  He registered a season high 11 tackles against Midwestern State.  He racked up a season high 95 kick return yards, made seven tackles and had a 29-yard interception return against Texas A&M-Kingsville.  He made 10 stops against Angelo State.  He finished the year with 55 tackles and seven interceptions.  He had 20 kick returns for 331 yards.  He was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2010 (Freshman):  Haywood played in nine games on special teams for the Cardinals.  He also appeared on special teams in the kick return game.  He had four kick returns for 95 yards against Abilene Christian and returned seven kicks for 141 yards for the season.  He had two tackles and a forced fumble against Langston.

High School:  Haywood played football at Roosevelt High School.  He earned All-Area honors as a quarterback.

Personal:  Haywood is the son of Don and Monica Adams and is studying physical therapy.  He was born on May 5, 1992.
