2011 (Junior):  Bonura finished second on the team with 256 kills while also contributing 2.29 digs per set.  She was named to the LSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.  She reached double digit kills in 15 matches and posted six double-doubles on the season.  She had 12 kills and a .500 attack in a three-set win over Oklahoma Panhandle State.  She had 26 kills and nearly a .500 attack in consecutive wins over Cameron and St. Mary’s.  She had a season-high 23 digs in a four set win over Eastern New Mexico.  She pounded out 17 kills and had 14 digs in a five set loss at Midwestern State.

2010 (Sophomore):  Bonura led the team with 2.38 kills per set and a .246 attack percentage.  She earned Lone Star Conference Second Team honors.  She dominated the net defensively in a win over Texas A&M-International with a career high six blocks.  She registered at least 10 kills in 11 matches.  She had nine kills and a. 471 attack in a win over Southwestern Oklahoma.  Two matches later she had 10 kills and a .471 attack in a win at Cameron.  She had 10 kills without an attack error in a win over East Central.  She had 13 kills in a pair of four set matches against Abilene Christian and at Texas Woman’s.

2009 (Freshman):  Bonura played in 15 matches and showed signs of her potential.  She posted a .205 attack and averaged 1.53 kills per set in limited duty.  She pounded out 14 kills and posted a .425 attach in a five-set loss at UT-Permian Basin.  She had six kills and a .455 attack in a win over East Central.

High School:  Bonura starred at Houston’s Lutheran North High School.  She also played softball, basketball, soccer and track and field.  She was a four-time all-district performer and three-time All-State selection.  As a senior, she was named the district MVP and led the team to a Final Four appearance in the state tournament.

Personal:  Bonura is the daughter of Tom and Jennifer Bonura and is studying interdisciplinary studies.  She has two brothers, Thomas and Tony, and was born on October 17, 1990.  She is fluent in American Sign Language.
