2012 (Junior):  Kanas made 14 appearances out of the bullpen.  He tossed 2.0 shutout innings against Abilene Christian on Mar. 18.  He pitched 3.0 innings without allowing a hit or run at Cameron on Mar. 31.  He notched his lone win of the season at Texas A&M-Kingsville when he pitched 2.0 innings and allowed one unearned run on Apr. 27.  He finished the year with a 9.45 ERA in 20.0 innings.  He was named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

2011 (Sophomore):  Kanas made 16 appearances in relief.  In 14 of those appearances he pitched one inning or less.  He posted a string of six consecutive appearance without allowing a run and allowed just one run in his last 7.2 innings.  He picked up a win with a scoreless inning at Texas A&M-International on Apr. 12.  He posted a 1-1 record with an 8.82 ERA in 16.1 innings for the season.

2010 (Freshman):  Kanas had a strong rookie campaign appearing in 22 games out of the bullpen and posting a 3.70 ERA with a 2-1 record.  After allowing two runs in his first career outing, he did not allow a nother run over his next six appearances.  He notched his first career victory with a scoreless inning of relief against UT-Permian Basin on Mar. 6.  He added a second win with 1.1 scoreless innings against St. Edward's on May 1.  His best performance of the season came in a 4-3 win over UT-Permian Basin in the Heartland Tournament when he tossed 4.0 innings without allowing a hit or a walk on May 9.

High School:  Kanas played baseball, basketball and football at Canyon High School. 

Personal:  Kanas is the son of Joe and Sharon Kanas and is studying business management.  He has a brother, Derek, and a sister, Brooke.  He was born on February 5, 1989.
