Biography

2012 (Junior):  Russell shared time at catcher and made 23 starts during the season.  He went 2-for-3 with two home runs, four RBI's and three runs scored at St. Edward's on Feb. 20.  He drove in two runs and had a double against West Texas A&M on Apr. 21.

Previous:  Russell spent two seasons at the University of Arkansas and then played a year at Cisco Junior College.  He was a member of the 2009 Arkansas team that finished third at the College World Series.

High School:  Russell played baseball and football at Smithson Valley High School.

Personal:  Russell is the son of Mac and Anna Russell and is studying business with a minor in management.  He has a brother, Logan.  He was born on October 1, 1989.  His father played football at Sul Ross State.
