2023 (Senior): Named to the SLC All- Conference Second Team...appeared in 99 sets..started 27 of 28 matches played... third on the team with 213 kills...lead the Southland in hitting percentage with a .404 on 413 total attacks...finished with 83 blocks, second on UIW.....named to the UTA Classic All- Tournament Team

2022 (Junior): Southland All- Academic Award recipient...appeared and started all 29 matches..105 total sets...finished the season with a team- high of 293 points.. led the team in kills with 261 kills, averaged 2.49 a set ranking in the top five for the Southland Conference...posted a career- high 19 kills against Northwestern State 

2021(Sophomore): Was invited to the USA Volleyball Women's National Team Open Program after the conclusion of the season....in 108 sets played amassed 223 kills...second highest on the team....had a 2.06 kill per set average...finished with a total of 274.5 points...recorded a season high 17 kills against new Orleans on 11/18/21

2020 (Freshman): Appeared in 10 matches and started eight…appeared in 37 sets…finished the season with 76 points and 56 kills…posted a career-high nine kills against Nicholls on February 27.

High School: Alvares was a four-year starter and letter winner on the Village Christian HS volleyball team … qualified all four years to the CIF playoffs … was the CIF CA State Champion (2018) … was the CIF SoCal Regional Champion (2018) … was the CIF Southern Section Champion (2018) … VCHS were Olympic league Champions three times (2017, 2018, 2019) … was named 2017 All-Olympic League second team OPP/OH as a sophomore … was named All-Pacific League second team middle blocker as a freshman. As a student Alvarez was on the Honor Roll all four years … in 2020 was a VCHS Honors Graduate in Visual Fine Arts, Media and Entertainment concentration … was a member of the VCHS Senior planning committee … was a member of the Village Christian Servant-Leadership.
 
Prior to UIW: Alverez was a member of the San Gabriel Elite volleyball club … qualified for USAVB Junior Nationals in Open Division six straight years (2015-2020) … in 2019 finished #13 in the national overall in 17 Open USAVB Junior Nationals … in 2018 finished No. 30 in the nation overall in 16 Open USAVB Junior Nationals … In 2017 finished No. 23 in the nation overall in 15 Open USAVB Junior Nationals … in 2016 finished No. 33 in the nation overall in 14 Open USAVB Junior Nationals … (2020) 18u bronze medal Lone Star Regional qualifier for San Gabriel Elite 18 Roshambo … (2019) 17u bronze medal Far West Regional qualifier for San Gabriel Elite 17 Roshambo … 2019 17u silver medal SoCal Vegas Showcase for San Gabriel Elite 16 Roshambo … 2018 16u bronze medal Big South Regional qualifier for San Gabriel Elite 15 Roshambo … 2017 15u silver medal SoCal Regional qualifier for San Gabriel Elite 14 Roshambo … was named to the SoCal SVCA High Performance Select first team (2016, 2015).
 
Personal: Annamarie Alvarez is the daughter of Scott and Pennie Alvarez … has one brother … father Scott played baseball at Stanford … maternal grandfather was on the swimming team at Ohio State and Michigan State … paternal grandfather played basketball at the University of Nebraska-Kearney and Chadron State College … is pursuing a degree in 3D Animation with the hopes of working in animation....would love to be a character artist for animated films … born on January 14, 2002 in Pasadena, California.
