2022 (Freshman): Appeared in 17 games for the Cardinals while starting eight at catcher...finished the season with five hits and seven RBIs. 

High School: Graduated from Anderson High School in 2021. Baran was awarded 26-6A district newcomer of the year batting .3887 and had an on base percentage of .580. He also won 2021 Anderson male athlete of the year.
 
Personal: Son to Jeff and Ann Baran…Joey has two older siblings James and Jacob. His grandfather Nick Espiritu played football at the University of Texas at El Paso for four years…Joey is majoring in Business and Finance…Born on January 3, 2003 in Austin, Texas.
