FRISCO, Texas – The Southland Conference announced this year's Men's Tennis All-Conference Teams and Superlative awards ahead of the 2026 Southland Conference Tennis Championships.

Incarnate Word sophomore Alejandro Hernandez was named the Southland Player of the Year while claiming All-Conference First Team positioning at flight No. 1 singles and Second Team at No. 2 doubles. Hernandez fueled the Cardinals' unbeaten run through conference play, winning the Southland Player of the Week award on two separate occasions.

Jonas Andersson, in his eighth season in charge of his Alma mater, guided the Cardinals to an unbeaten season in conference play and an undisputed regular-season title. Under Andersson's tutelage, five different Cardinals earned All-Conference recognition this season.

In addition to Hernandez's spot on the All-Conference First Team, grad student Emilio Vila (No. 2 singles) and freshman Santiago Flyckt (No. 5 singles) were also honored on the First Team. Hernandez and sophomore teammate Alexandre Chauvel claimed Second Team All-Conference honors at No. 2 doubles.
