FRISCO – Incarnate Word's Alejandro Hernandez has won this week's Southland Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week award, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday. The award is the second in three weeks for Hernandez and the third for UIW Men's Tennis this season.

Hernandez won 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to help the Cardinals clinch the regular season title in full, and finished the season with a perfect 5-0 record at that position in conference play.  

Incarnate Word will be the top overall seed in next week's Southland Championships, where they will take on tournament host and fourth-seeded Lamar University on Monday, April 20, at 10:00 a.m. in Beaumont, Texas.
