The Cardinals enter the matchup with a 10–10 overall record and an 8–5 mark in Southland Conference play. In conference action, UIW is averaging 66.7 points per game while allowing 66.3 points per contest, maintaining a positive scoring margin in league play.
Brynn Lusby leads the Cardinals offensively in Southland games, averaging 12.2 points per contest while shooting 53.8 percent from the field. Jorja Elliott adds 11.5 points per game in conference play and provides perimeter production, including 26 made three-pointers in league action. Madison Cockrell directs the offense at 10.4 points per game with a team-high 40 assists in conference contests.
Raimi McCrary anchors the paint for UIW, averaging 6.5 rebounds per game in league play. As a team, the Cardinals average 37.3 rebounds per game against conference opponents and hold a +1.6 rebounding margin.
Scouting the Lady Lions
Southeastern Louisiana enters Thursday's contest with a 2–18 overall record and a 1–12 mark in Southland Conference play. The Lady Lions are averaging 59.4 points per game in conference action while allowing 72.2 points per contest.
Aliyah Collins leads SLU in conference scoring at 14.8 points per game, while Lihi Azouri adds 12.0 points per contest and is shooting over 41 percent from beyond the arc in league play. Eryn McKinzie contributes 10.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in conference action, giving the Lady Lions a presence in the frontcourt.
Southeastern Louisiana averages 34.9 rebounds per game in Southland play and looks to generate offense through perimeter shooting and transition opportunities.
