JACKSON, MS. – The University of the Incarnate Word men's tennis team continued its recent success with a 4-0 win over Jackson State University on Saturday afternoon from the JSU Tennis Complex.

The victory is Incarnate Word's fourth in a row and fourth consecutive shutout.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• In doubles action, the sophomore tandem of Alexandre Chauvel and Alejandro Hernandez won 7-6 in the No. 1 position, followed by a 6-3 win at No. 2 by the duo of sophomore Marcel Miralles and freshman Santiago Flyckt.
• After gaining the early 1-0 match lead, Miralles opened singles play with a 6-1, 6-3 win in the No. 3 matchup.
• Freshman Augustin Salazar (No. 5) and Chauvel (No. 6) finished off the day with 7-6, 6-2 and 6-1, 6-0 wins in their respective games.
