SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team returns to the McDermott Center on Saturday to host Texas A&M–Corpus Christi in Southland Conference action. Tipoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.

UIW

The Cardinals enter the matchup with a 9–8 overall record and a 7–3 mark in Southland Conference play following a 74–65 road win at Houston Christian on Thursday night.

Brynn Lusby leads the Cardinals offensively, averaging 10.6 points per game overall and 12.8 points per contest in conference play while shooting 54.8% from the field against league opponents.

Jorja Elliott continues to be a key two-way contributor for the Red and Black, averaging 10.4 points per game overall while leading the team in steals (26) and blocks (11).

Raimi McCrary anchors the paint for UIW, pacing the team with 7.5 rebounds per game overall and 7.5 rebounds per contest in conference play while adding 7.7 points per game on the season.

Madison Cockrell directs the Cardinal offense, leading the team with 46 total assists and averaging 10.7 points per game in Southland play.

Scouting the Islanders

Texas A&M–Corpus Christi enters the contest with a 3–14 overall record and a 2–8 mark in Southland Conference play.

Samora Watson leads the Islanders in scoring, averaging 13.0 points per game overall and 13.6 points per contest in conference action, while also ranking among the team leaders in assists and steals.

Chelsea Wooten facilitates the offense for A&M–Corpus Christi, averaging 8.9 points per game in league play and leading the team with 39 assists in conference action.

The Islanders average 57.6 points per game and rank among the conference leaders in three-point attempts, knocking down 6.4 threes per contest this season.
