DAYTONA, Fla. - The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team returns to Daytona Beach, this time for a midseason tournament, the Gieco Boardwalk Battle. Three teams will be featured alongside the Cardinals this weekend: Southern Indiana, the University of Illinois Chicago, and High Point University. UIW will kick things off against Southern Indiana on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. CT and will play again on Saturday.

- The Cardinals held Indiana to its lowest point total in 2025, only scoring 69 on Sunday, and its lowest shooting percentage since last season.
- Tahj Staveskie currently sits inside the top 10 in the Southland Conference (SLC) for five separate categories, including points (18.3), assists (6.5), rebounds (6.3) and steals (1.8) per game.
- Despite the mass volume of shots taken by Harrison Reede behind the arc, he still holds the best 3FG percentage in the SLC with 59.4% on almost five shots per game (4.8).
