- Newly transferred point guard Tahj Staveskie has had a spectacular first three games, recording the first triple-double statline for a UIW Cardinal (29 PTS, 11 RB, 10 AST) on Nov. 11 against Southwestern Christian University. Staveskie is the 19th player since 1975 to record such a statline in the Southland Conference.
- Aside from Harrison Reede breaking the single game record for most three-pointers made (12), he continues to dominate behind the arc, shooting 56.7% this season by exclusively attempting threes.
