SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team turned in a dominant performance, sweeping East Texas A&M University in straight sets on Saturday afternoon at the McDermott Center. The win marked the Cardinals' third consecutive sweep. 

Set 1: UIW 25, ETAMU 14 
The Cardinals controlled the opening frame from start to finish, building a double-digit lead before Kitana Tu'ufuli closed it out with her seventh kill of the set. UIW's defense stifled the Lions, holding them to a .152 hitting percentage, while the Cardinals' offense fired on all cylinders with a .607 hitting mark. 

Set 2: UIW 25, ETAMU 14 
UIW carried its momentum into the second frame, once again dictating the pace throughout. The Cardinals led by as many as 14 points before Finley Evans sealed the set with her second kill of the frame. Kade Thomas paced all players with four kills, as UIW's front line limited the Lions to a .083 hitting percentage. 

Set 3: UIW 25, ETAMU 21 
The third set proved the most competitive of the match, featuring four ties and one lead change. After falling behind 3–2 early, UIW rallied to regain control and never looked back. Evans delivered the final kill to clinch the sweep for the Red and Black. 

The Cardinals had three players finish with double-digit kills for the first time this season. Tu'ufuli led all players with 14 kills, while seniors Kyla Malone and Finley Evans added 13 and 12, respectively. Calissa Allison recorded her 17th double-double of the season with a match-high 44 assists and 13 digs. Ashton Rogers anchored the defense with 14 digs, while Thomas led the team at the net with two blocks. 

UIW hits the road next week to face UTRGV on Thursday and Texas A&M–Corpus Christi on Saturday.
