SAN ANTONIO, TX – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team is set to host Northwestern State University on Thursday, October 30, at the McDermott Center to open a two-match homestand. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.

• UIW got off to its best start in conference history, and is now tied for fourth place in the SLC standings with a 7-3 record. 

• Sophomore setter Calissa Allison has been the heartbeat of the Cardinals, impacting every phase of the game. She ranks among the team's top five in kills, points, digs, blocks, service aces, and assists.  

• Seniors Kyla Malone and Finley Evans power the attack, sitting first and second on the team in kills, while sophomore middle blocker Vanessa Eregie and freshman libero Ashton Rogers anchor the defense.   

• The Cardinals enter Thursday's matchup at 11–11 overall and 7–3 in Southland Conference play, after sweeping UNO on the road this past Saturday. 

Scouting the Lady Demons 

• Deja Benjamin leads the team in kills with 170. Benjamin is also second on the team in blocks with 51.0.  

• Reagan Hamm leads the team in assists with 315 on the season. Hamm is also top five on the team in service aces, digs, and blocks.  

• NSU enters Thursday's matchup with a 1-23 overall record and 0-10 in Southland Conference play. The Cardinals swept the Lady Demons on the road earlier this season.
