SAN ANTONIO, TX – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team is set to host Southeastern Louisiana University on Wednesday, October 22, at the McDermott Center to kick off the week. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m.

• UIW got off to its best start in conference history, and is now tied for second place in the SLC standings with a 6-2 record. 

• Sophomore setter Calissa Allison has been the heartbeat of the Cardinals, impacting every phase of the game. She ranks among the team's top five in kills, points, digs, blocks, service aces, and assists.  

• Seniors Finley Evans and Kyla Malone power the attack, sitting first and second on the team in kills, while senior middle blocker Kade Thomas and freshman libero Ashton Rogers anchor the defense.   

• The Cardinals enter Wednesday's matchup at 10–10 overall and 6–2 in Southland Conference play, after handing SFA its first conference loss of the season this past weekend. 

Scouting the Lady Lions 

• Kyra McKelvey leads the team in kills with 251 and in service aces with 24. She is also top five on the team in blocks and assists. 

• Lexi Gonzalez leads the team in digs with 256 on the season. 

• SLU enters Saturday's matchup with a 14-6 overall record and 6-2 in Southland Conference play.
