SAN ANTONIO, TX – The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team is set to visit Lamar University on Thursday, October 16, at the McDonald Arena to kick off the week. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.

• UIW got off to its best start in conference history, and is now tied for second place in the SLC standings with a 5-1 record. 

• Sophomore setter Calissa Allison has been the heartbeat of the Cardinals, impacting every phase of the game. She ranks among the team's top five in kills, points, digs, blocks, service aces, and assists.  

• Seniors Finley Evans and Kyla Malone power the attack, sitting first and second on the team in kills, while senior middle blocker Kade Thomas and freshman libero Ashton Rogers anchor the defense.   

• The Cardinals enter Thursday's matchup at 9–9 overall and 5–1 in Southland Conference play, after reverse sweeping Texas A&M Corpus-Christi at home on Saturday. 

Scouting Lamar 

• Maja Malinowska ranks first in the conference in points (282) and second in kills (242). Malinowska has tallied 10 double-doubles this season 

• Gabby Baker leads all of NCAA Division I with 407 digs. Baker leads the Southland Conference in digs while she ranks second in digs per set 

• Lamar enters Thursday's matchup with a 10-11 overall record and a 3-3 record in Southland Conference play.
