SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team is set for two games this week. First, on the road taking on Houston Christian University (HCU) at 3:30 p.m. CT on Saturday, and then taking on Nicholls back at UIW on Monday at 6:30 p.m. CT.

- The Cardinals continue to shoot well from the outside, 40 percent, not only leading the Southland, but also, in the top 10 in the NCAA.
- They are led by Davion Bailey who has knocked down the fourth most 3-pointers in the country with 55.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
- HCU is coming off two close games, first a last-second 63-61 loss to Lamar, followed by a 10-point win over SFA.
- Julian Mackey is the fourth leading scorer in the SLC, averaging 15.4 points per game.
- For the first time since 1991 HCU will be led by a new coach as Craig Doty took over for the Huskies this season.
SCOUTING THE COLONELS
- The Colonels has sent away the third most shots, 64, and made the third most steals, 131, in the Southland Conference.
- Jamal West is leading the way with a team leading 24 blocks this season, 1.6 per game.
- Nicholls sits near the top of the SLC standings with their lone conference loss coming on the road against Northwestern State.
