CORPUS CHRISTI, Tx – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team lost its final game of the 2023-24 season to the Texas A&M – Corpus Christi Islanders 71-52.
 
Sky Wicks finished the season with another double-double, with 12 points and 12 rebounds, bringing his total to eight on the season. Josiah Hammons was the other UIW student-athlete to score in double digits, adding 13 points.
 
Through the first 10 minutes of the game were tightly contested. The Cardinals had the edge in rebounds and the Islanders had forced more turnovers, but the two were locked at 13 points apiece. In the final minutes of the half Corpus was able to take control forcing a total of 12 turnovers and outscoring UIW 19-8. The score at the half
 
Coming out of the break the Islanders went on a 17-0 taking firm control of the game. The Cardinals were unable to battle back and lost by a final score of 71-52.
