SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's volleyball team goes on the road for two its final two matchups of the regular season, before heading to Hammond for the SLC Tournament. UIW travels to UTRGV for a Thursday night matchup at 6:30 p.m. The Cardinals then travel to Corpus Christi to take on the Islanders on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.

• The Cardinals are 16-8 (9-5) after going 2-1 in three conference matchups last week. 

• Calissa Allison leads the Cardinals in kills with 237. Kade Thomas leads the team with 93 blocks. 

• Allison also leads UIW in aces (22) and has the second most digs (259) and assists (431) on the team. She is also tied for second in the nation in triple-doubles with ten after picking up two last week. 

• UIW was selected to finish eighth in the Southland Conference preseason poll and sits in fifth place.  

Scouting the Vaqueros 

• UTRGV enters the week 14-10 (10-4) on the year after going 1-1 last week.  

• Ilana De Assis leads the Vaqueros in kills with 338. De Assis is second on the team in digs with 224.   

• Earlier in the season the Vaqueros visited the Cardinals and won 3-0. 

• UTRGV sits in fourth place in the conference standings with a 10-4 conference record.  

Scouting the Islanders 

• AMCC enters the week 15-10 (10-4) on the year after going 1-1 last week. 

• Kyndal Payne leads the Islanders in kills with 331. Payne also has the second most digs (258) and blocks on the team (42.0). She also has the most aces with 23.  

• AMCC sits in third place in the conference standings with a 10-4 conference record.
