Men's Basketball Takes on Two SWAC Opponents

SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team will be at home in the McDermott Center for both games this week for games against SWAC opponents. The Cardinals will take on Prairie View A&M Tuesday night at 7 p.m. CT and University of Arkansas – Pine Bluff at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday.

  • After starting the season at home, the Panthers will not play another home game until January 4th against Grambling state in their first SWAC game of the season.

  • The Panthers seem to have a priority on the gritty things forcing 18 turnovers and grabbing 13 offensive rebounds in their last game.

  • UAPB returned zero starters from the 2023-2024 season.
  • Shawn Williams, a transfer from Nicholls St. and former AAC Rookie of the Year was tabbed the player to watch in the Southwestern Athletic Conference.
  • The Golden Lions have a tough non-conference schedule which features four teams who qualified for the 2023-24 NCAA tournament.
