SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's volleyball team finishes off the month of October with a Halloween matchup against Lamar on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. at the McDermott Center. On Saturday, the Cardinals close out its three-game homestand against the Islanders at 12 p.m.

• The Cardinals are 12-7 (5-4) after extending its winning streak to three games following a conference win over New Orleans. 

• Calissa Allison leads the Cardinals in kills with 172. Kade Thomas leads the team with 76 blocks. 

• Allison also leads UIW in assists (350), aces (17), and has the second most digs (202). She is also fourth in the nation in triple-doubles with six. 

• UIW was selected to finish eighth in the Southland Conference preseason poll and sits in fifth place.  

Scouting the Lamar Cardinals 

• Lamar enters the week 12-10 (4-6) on the year after going 1-1 last week.  

• Maja Malinowska leads the Cardinals in kills with 262. Malinowska also has the second most digs on the team with 222.   

• Lamar sits in seventh place in the conference standings with a 4-6 conference record.  

Scouting the Islanders 

• AMCC enters the week 13-8 (8-2) on the year after picking up two sweeps last week. 

• Kyndal Payne leads the Islanders in kills with 257. Payne also has the most aces (22) and the second most digs on the team (217).  

• AMCC sits in third place in the conference standings with a 8-2 conference record.
