SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's soccer team will get its first two conference games of the season this week. Kicking things off with a game against the Liberty Flames Thursday at 7 p.m. CT and playing Western Illinois Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.

	- The Cardinals fell in their first OVC game of the year against historic rival HCU.  
 
	- UIW split its two games with Liberty last season with the Cardinal win securing their number two seed in the OVC playoffs.
 
	- Alejandro De La Torre is one of the best goalkeepers in the conference. He currently has the second most shutouts and the fourth best save percentage (.667).
 
SCOUTING THE FLAMES
 
	- Liberty started the season strong with a 7-1 victory over Western Illinois.
 
	- Michael Huss earned OVC Offense Player of the Week after he scored three goals in a game for the first time in his career against WIU.
 
	- The Flames were second in the OVC last season with 35 goals, they currently the league with 20.
 
 
SCOUTING THE LEATHERNECKS
 
	- This is WIU first season in the Ohio Valley Conference after playing in the Summit League.
 
	- The Leathernecks came into conference play on fire winning three games in a row before going up against the Flames.
 
	- This week is a two game Texas trip for Western Illinois as they take on HCU before heading down to San Antonio.
