SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's volleyball team is on the road for two matches this week. On Thursday the Cardinals visit Nicholls for a 6:30 p.m. matchup. On Saturday at 1 p.m. UIW will face off against the Cowgirls.

• The Cardinals are 9-7 (2-4) after splitting last week's two conference matches.  

• Risa Sena leads the Cardinals in kills with 155, while hitting .279 percent. Kade Thomas leads the team with 63 blocks. 

• Calissa Allison is in the top five in kills (135), assists (308), aces (15), and digs (178) for UIW. 

• UIW was selected to finish eighth in the Southland Conference preseason poll and sits in eighth place.  

Scouting the Colonels 

• Nicholls enters the week 7-10 (2-4) on the year after going 1-3 last week.  

• Makila Billingsley leads the Colonels in kills with 134. Billingsley is also in the top five on the team in aces (5), digs (83), and blocks (24).   

• Nicholls sits in tenth place in the conference standings with a 2-4 conference record.  

Scouting the Cowgirls 

• McNeese enters the contest 7-11 (3-3) on the year after going 2-1 in last week's conference matchups.   

• McKenzie Moore leads the team in kills with 267. Moore is second on the team in blocks (39) and third in digs (156).  

• The Cowgirls sit in fifth place in the conference standings with a 3-3 conference record.
