SAN ANTONIO- The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team will travel to Thibodaux, Louisiana on Saturday to look for its first conference win. Facing the top four teams in their first two weeks of play, the Cardinals are prepared for what comes next throughout the season.

In their total 12 historied matchups, the Cardinals have the upper hand winning nine of the matches.
UIW swept the Colonels in the last matchup on October 22, 2022. While playing in Louisiana, the Cardinals outplayed Nicholls, achieving over 45 kills with a game-high seven blocks.
Leading the way for the Cardinals was senior middle blocker Annamarie Alvarez. Alvarez picked up 12 kills on 17 total attempts, while Risa Sena added 11 kills of her own and two service aces. Junior libero Audrey Patton tallied five assists and 13 digs in the match.
