SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team visits Northwestern State University on Friday, September 22 at 7 p.m. On Sunday, September 24 at 1 p.m. the Cardinals travel to take on Southeastern Louisiana University.  

UIW 

• The Cardinals are 3-3-1 following last week's first conference loss against Lamar University, 2-0. Goalkeeper Erica Defferding totaled eight saves in the loss.  

• Forwards Sierra Wannamaker and Addison Rodriguez lead the Cardinals in goals with two each. Forward, Meredith Caviglia leads the Cardinals in assists with two. 

• Defferding has made 21 saves in her four starts entering the week. 

Scouting the Lady Demons 

• NWSU is 3-5 this season coming off a 1-0 conference win over SLU.  

• Sabrina Lopez and Taylor Spitzer lead the Lady Demons with two goals each. NWSU has four players with one assist each to lead the team.  

• Goalkeeper Libe Banuelos has started every game for the Lady Demons totaling 36 saves while playing 662 minutes. 

Scouting the Lady Lions 

• SLU is 2-6 this season following last week's 0-1 conference loss against NWSU. 

• Mya Guillory and Kelsey Fuller lead the Lady Lions with two goals each. SLU has three players with one assist each to lead the team. 

• Goalkeeper Olivia Griffin has started seven games for the Lady Lions recording 29 saves while playing 580 minutes.
