SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team travels to New Mexico State on Thursday, August 31, at 8 p.m. and UTEP on Sunday, September 3, at 12 p.m. 

UIW 

• The Cardinals are 3-0 to start the 2023 season, the best start since 2013. Last week, UIW defeated UTRGV, 2-0, with goals from Bailey Moyer and Sinead Duffy.  

• Forwards Sierra Wannamaker and Addison Rodriguez lead the Cardinals in goals with two.  

• Forward, Meredith Caviglia leads the Cardinals in assists with two through three games. 

• Goalkeeper, Makenzie Hall is 3-0 on the year, playing all 270 minutes with eight saves.  

Scouting the Aggies 

• New Mexico State is 2-2 this season, with wins against Portland State and Cal State Fullerton.  

• The Aggies have four players with one goal each. The Aggies also have two players with one assist each.  

• New Mexico State was selected to finish second in the Conference USA after finishing last season 13-5-3. 

Scouting the Miners 

• UTEP is 0-3-1 this season, with a tie to Abeline Christian and a loss to Arizona State last week.  

• The Miners have three players with one goal each. Taya Lopez is responsible for the Miners one assist on the year.  

• UTEP was selected to finish seventh in the Conference USA after finishing last season 4-11-3.
