SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's soccer team kicks off its regular season this week with two home games. The Cardinals take on the University of Rice for the home opener, Thursday at 6 p.m. and Prairie View A&M University on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both games will take place at Gayle and Tom Benson Stadium and admission is free.

Catarina Albuquerque, Mikala Furuto and Sarah Piper were all selected to the 2023 AAC Preseason Watch List.

Furuto finished last season with two goals in 1,664 minutes played.

Rice was selected to finish fourth in the AAC West Division after finishing last season 11-8-1.
