Box Score SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's basketball team fell in a close loss to Northern Arizona, 75-76, on Saturday night in the McDermott Center.
The game started slow for both teams, each only knocking down five shots through the first 10 minutes of the game. Late in the half
Sky Wicks scored eight straight points for the Cardinals, getting the UIW lead up to five. The Lumberjacks were able to hang around and the teams went into the break tied at 36.
NAU came out of the half shooting well, going 8-11 and being up by 11. The momentum quickly shifted to the Cardinals after
Shon Robinson and Sky got going again to cut the lead. With about six minutes remaining
Elijah Davis found
Dylan Hayman in the corner for three, giving UIW their first lead of the half.
Both teams battled down the stretch, but the Cards ran out of time, losing 76-75.
