SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team is back at the McDermott Center on Saturday Dec. 2 for a 2 p.m. matchup against Dallas Christian College.
UIW
- Following a 57-44 victory over Prairie View A&M University on Monday, the Cardinals are 3-2 to start the season with wins over OLLU, UTRGV, and PVAMU. This start puts UIW second in the current conference standings behind Lamar.
- Nina De Leon Negron leads the team in points with 10.6 per game to go along with 5.2 rebounds. She also leads the team in steals with 11.
- Aliyah Collins contributes 9.6 points per game, with 17 assists on the season and 10 steals.
- Chloe Storer had a stand-out game against PVAMU, putting up a career-high 20 points and 10 rebounds against the Panthers.
- UIW's defense allows its opponents only 52.2 points per contest, the second-best in the conference.
DALLAS CHRISTIAN
- The Lady Crusaders are 0-4 on the season with losses to Jarvis Christian, Western Oklahoma State, Pensacola Christian, and Southwestern Christian.
- T'Keitha Valentine is averaging 18 points per contest for Dallas Christian.
- Cameron Hutton has only seen action in one game for the Lady Crusaders but in that one game against Pensacola Christian, she finished with 13 points and 12 rebounds.
