SAN ANTONIO- The University of the Incarnate Word volleyball team will play back-to-back games on the road this week as the Cardinals head to New Orleans on Thursday with a quick turnaround to Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday. After a nice sweep of Lamar this past Saturday, the Cardinals will look to keep that winning mentality as they face the last few games of the year.

THE LAST TIME THEY MET
UNO (UIW, 3-0)
The Cardinals had a nice sweep over the Privateers the last time these two matched up in October. The last 10 times they've played, UIW has won six times. Having the upper hand, it will be interesting to see how the Cardinals play at UNO.
Allison Palmi led all teams with 16 kills, nine digs, and an ace. Risa Sena had nine kills, three aces, and seven digs. The two leading hitters for UIW have been unstoppable on all spots of the floor in recent games UIW has played. Sophomore Alexis Walker walked away with an impressive six blocks on the day as well as adding five kills. The Cardinals offensive line has been slowly finding their groove with different players entering in and out of games.
SLU (UIW, 0-3)
In their history, the Cardinals have seven wins and seven losses when facing SLU. The last match in September saw the Lions sweep the Cardinals at the McDermott Center. Tensions will be high as Coach Gabby Ording will be facing her former team as the influence of the conference tournament looms.
In that last match, Risa Sena had 12 kills and six digs. In total the Cardinals only tallied a team-low of 34 kills on the board. Allison Palmi added eight kills and Kyla Malone had seven. On the defensive side, specialist Mariela Nieto shagged 12 digs.
UIW (13-13)
The Cardinals are still at .500 going into the second to last week of play. In this week's SLC poll, UIW ranks sixth, a place higher than last week. Their sweep over Lamar on Saturday puts them in the winning column where the Cardinals hope to stay.
Setter Natalie Kimmel still leads the conference in service aces with a total of 42 on the year. This past week she collected three aces, to put her up three abov from everyone else in the SLC.
