THE LAST TIME THEY MET
McNeese (UIW, 1-3)
The Cardinals and the Cowgirls met up earlier in September for a tight four set match. McNeese bested UIW, but the Cardinals didn't go down without a fight.
In the series history, UIW has only won seven of the total 16 matches. The Cardinals are currently on a losing streak against the Cowgirls but are hoping to snap that this Thursday.
In the last meetup, Allison Palmi led the way for UIW with 12 kills, Risa Sena added 12 of her own, but added four blocks to her name. The sophomore Kade Thomas had a team-high six blocks in UIW's total of 11 blocks on the game.
Lamar (UIW 3-1)
The Battle of the Cardinals gave UIW its second conference win in the last matchup on Oct. 19. After a tight four sets, including a set two that went up to 30 points, the Cardinals defeated Lamar, 3-1. UIW has an 11- 3 record against the Beaumont Cardinals.
In the earlier matchup up, Palmi led all teams with 20 kills and an ace. Sena collected 13 kills, five blocks, and five digs. Setter Natalie Kimmel recorded 33 assists to help with the Cardinals total of 59 kills. Kimmel also had three aces, which is no surprise as she leads the conference in that statistic.
