Men’s Soccer Prepared for Final Week of Regular Season

SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word men's soccer team will play their final two games of the regular season at home this week. First, the team will honor our seniors at 5:30 before taking on Chicago State at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday night. Later in the week they will face off against Liberty on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.

UIW has a 5-7-4 overall with a 3-3-2 Ohio Valley Conference record.
The Cardinals control their own destiny, currently sitting at fourth in the OVC standings.
Sello Diphoko is tied for most goals scored in the OVC with seven.

SCOUTING THE COUGARS

Chicago State is seventh in the OVC, only one spot out of post season tournament qualification and one game behind UIW.
The last time these two teams met the Cardinals defeated the Cougars 3-2.
Danail Sergiev leads CSU with five goals scored this season and one assist.

SCOUTING THE FLAMES

Liberty is in good shape heading into the final week of the regular season, tied for second in the OVC with a 4-3-1 record.
The Flames have outscored opponents 34-22 so far this season.
The leading sorcerer for Liberty and the conference is Luke Eberly who has seven on the season.
