SAN MARCOS, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word softball team fell, 12-0, to Texas State University (TXST) at Bobcat Stadium. 
 
Savannah Behabetz and Ryliegh Mata registered the two hits for the Cardinals. The Cardinals were able to escape a bases-loaded situation to keep the game scoreless through the first three innings, but the Bobcats found their stride in the fourth and fifth frames.
 
Texas State used 12 runs across the final two innings to secure the 12-0 victory. 
 
UP NEXT 
The Cardinals head to Natchitoches, Louisiana, to face Southland Conference foe Northwestern State University. The first day of the three-game series is a doubleheader on Friday, April 22, at 4 p.m. CT and 6 p.m. The series concludes on Saturday, April 23, at noon at Lady Demon Diamond.
