Softball Sweeps ACU

ABILENE, Texas – The University of the Incarnate Word softball team swept Abilene Christian University (ACU) in a doubleheader on Tuesday afternoon at the Poly Wells Field. The Cardinals defeated the Wildcats 3-1 in the first game of the day. They followed up with a 5-4 victory in the final game.

"Today was a great day, said head coach Kimberly Dean. "We continue to see the progress on the field and are so excited for the girls to get this sweep today. Our pitchers had solid outings and our hitters had some timely hitting and great execution through both games. This was a great way to end our spring break trip and we're looking forward to getting some practice in and getting back on the field at home next Tuesday."
