SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball program will honor three senior student-athletes and one graduate assistant before its 2 p.m. CT matchup against the University of Texas A&M- Corpus Christi (TAMUCC) on Saturday, March 5, at the McDermott Center.
THE LAST TIME THEY MET
- The Cardinals have seen the Islanders three times this season with the last matchup on Jan. 15, 2022.
UIW
- The Cardinals head into their final regular season game 9-15 overall and 5-8 in the Southland Conference (SLC).
- Jaaucklyn Moore continues to lead the team in scoring with 17.6 points per game. Destiny Terrell and Tiana Gardner follow with seven points each.
- Terrell is the leading rebounder with 5.8 per contest.
TAMUCC
- The Islanders are 18-9 overall and 10-3 in the SLC.
- Makinna Serrata (14) and Alecia Westbrook (13) are leading TAMUCC in scoring.
- Westbrook is averaging a double-double with 10 rebounds per game.
UP NEXT
UIW will compete at the Southland Conference Tournament in Katy, Texas, on March 10-13.
