SAN ANTONIO – The University of the Incarnate Word women's basketball team travels to Louisiana to match up with Nicholls State University on Thursday, Feb. 10, at 5 p.m. CT and the University of New Orleans (UNO) on Saturday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m.
THE LAST TIME THEY MET
- The Cardinals faced the Colonels (Thursday) and Privateers (Saturday) last week at the McDermott Center.
- UIW went 1-1 on the weekend with a 54-49 win over UNO.
UIW
- The Cardinals are 6-12 on the season and 2-5 in Southland Conference (SLC) play.
- Jaaucklyn Moore is averaging 16.8 points per game as the leading scorer for UIW. Moore tops the league charts, averaging 17.7 points in SLC games.
- Destiny Terrell and Tiana Gardner are contributing seven points per contest.
NICHOLLS
- The Colonels are 4-13 on the season and 2-4 in SLC.
- Chelsea Cain continues to lead Nicholls in scoring, averaging 15.8 points per contest. Cain is tied with Moore with 17.7 points per game in SLC play.
- Bryanna Washington is the leading rebounder with 6.9 per game.
UNO
- The Privateers are 1-13 on the season and remain winless in the SLC through seven games.
- Brianna Ellis is the leading scorer with 15.5 points per game.
- DeArica Pryor has 28 steals on the season and Zoe Cooper is averaging 5.8 rebounds per contest.
UP NEXT
The Cardinals host a pair of games against Northwestern State University on Thursday, Feb. 17, at 5:30 p.m. and Southeastern Louisiana on Saturday, Feb. 19, at 2 p.m. at the McDermott Center.
